The Pride of Island
The property is a charming small Resort like a Boutique hotel on the island of Diu. It derives its name from the interesting palm trees, spread in abundance on the island of Diu. The palm trees is in fact found nowhere else in the country.
The Resort with just 17 rooms is a delightful place to stay & ideal for those looking for a friendly, personalized atmosphere & something different from the usual. Staying at the Palm, you would be a part of a discerning clientele, both Indian & foreign. Owing to its design & in-house social atmosphere the hotel is popular with guests comprising a wide spectrum… families, couples, long stay guests, backpackers and students.
The hotel’s verandah styled Restaurant & Bar, named ‘The Pride of Island` before changed name Cat’s Eye View makes for a pleasant area to have meals or simply lounge around. The menu is small because the focus here is on excellent food, fresh and hygienically cooked. So it is no surprise that major travel review sites & international guidebooks give the resort cuisine excellent ratings.
The hotel’s earlier name was ‘The Hoka Island Villa`. Its very popular for tourist in Diu. The change in the hotels name to ‘The Palms Beach Resort’ was in 2018. Though to most it is simply still ‘The Palms Diu’. Read about it on our blog.!
Locations
The hotel is a short walk, 200 meters; about two minutes, from the popular, safe to swim & picturesque Nagoa beach. Surrounded by Hoka & palm trees it has a nice ambience.
As its name suggests, the property is a small Resort with rooms like boutique hotel. Most rooms have a private verandah/balcony. All rooms are pleasant & comfortable, air-conditioned, and with attached bathrooms.
There are three types of rooms: Deluxe Premium, Deluxe & Deluxe Economy ,The deluxe Premium rooms are slightly larger. Rooms are similar in that they have a comfortable setting & sit-out.
All rooms are for double occupancy, with some being Twin-bedded. Extra person is provided for with a mattress & proper linen, laid on the floor. Extra bed is provided in the rooms.
There is an electric kettle with supplies, in all rooms, if you would like to brew your own cuppa!
